ALPS Brands began in 1993 when Dennis Brune started the company in his one-car garage, with the goal of providing high-quality gear to a wide range of people. In 2007, ALPS Brands expanded their reach by creating ALPS OutdoorZ, a brand dedicated to producing affordable and performance-driven hunting gear. Drawing from their experience in manufacturing furniture and packs for their ALPS Mountaineering brand, ALPS OutdoorZ quickly became known for their high-quality hunting products.

One of the key differences between hunting packs and backpacking packs is the unique lashing system used to secure meat for long hauls. This system, along with a smaller profile, lightweight aluminum frame, and padded shoulder straps, allows for comfortable movement while hunting. The padded waist belt is designed to accommodate clip-style holsters, making it easy to carry a handgun securely.

ALPS OutdoorZ hunting packs come fully equipped with features such as three extension lashing straps, a mesh back band, an adjustable shoulder harness, and organizational wing pockets. These packs are designed for durability and functionality, with a weight of 4 lbs. 11 oz., a torso range of 17" - 23", and a waist belt length of 31" - 53".
